About this object
A photograph of the Country Queen, Mrs Gladys Elizabeth Jane Hudson, taken at Windsor Park in Hastings on 8 November 1952. She is accompanied by the Chairman, Mr Gavin Richmond Baillie, two flower girls, Juliet Barker and Sally Stead, and three Maids of Honour, Kathleen Beamish, Josephine Glazebrook, and Marian Stead. The procession was held as part of the Hastings and District War Memorial Appeal, Queen Carnival Campaign. A crowd of people can be seen lining the procession route.
