About this object
A photograph of two unidentified women taken at Windsor Park in Hastings on 8 November 1952. The two women acted as the Maids of Honour for the Māori Queen, Mrs Bella Omeka Gillies, as part of the Hastings and District War Memorial Appeal, Queen Carnival Campaign. The two women are shown arriving on the stage for the crowning of one of the four carnival queens as the winner. A crowd of people can be seen in the background.
