About this object
A photograph of a bird's nest thought to have been taken at Tutira Station in the early twentieth century. The nest is identified on the album page as that of a silvereye or wax-eye (Zosterops lateralis). The nest is located in the branches of a tree, possibly a mānuka or kāhikatoa.
