About this object
The photograph is taken at Ahuriri opposite the Iron Pot. On the left is Barry Bros, Shipping & Forwarding Agents, wood & coal merchants, carriers & contractors and Custom House agents. In the centre is the Ahuriri Post Office and to the right is another Barry Bros Ltd building. The 1930 Post Office Directory states that Barry Bros Ltd were on Customs Street, Ahuriri.
Date unknown. The date would be pre 3 February 1931 as the Ahuriri Post Office was destroyed in the earthquake.
