The photograph is titled: Spit Napier. The photograph has been taken from the hill in the vicinity of Napier Hospital looking down on the township of Ahuriri and Westshore. The Inner Harbour can be seen on the left.
In the lower left hand corner is handwritten: Marsh. This could either be Harold Marsh or Robert George Stanley Marsh, both of whom are photographer from 1900.
The date is unknown but it could be between 1890 - 1910.
