Brief Description
Advertising poster and plan surveyed by J Roddick of Raureka block III and dated March 1896.
Poster is entitled: Raureka Settlement - 291 acres, first class land, Hawke's Bay County. Includes a general description of the region, terms and conditions of lease and a chart with section numbers, size of sections and half-yearly rent. Includes instructions to applicants and a caution from Thomas Humphries, Commissioner of Crown Lands.
Plan shows boundaries of sections with acreage. Block III is bounded to the west by the Ngaruroro River, Maraekakaho Road to the north, the Hastings Borough Boundary line to the east and Southland road to the south. Wellwood Road and Heathcote Road traverse through the block. Includes an inset map marking out Block III within the Hawke's Bay region.
