Brief Description
a) Napier West Presbyterian Parish Annual Report for 1981 - 1982 presented at the Annual Meeting held at St Peter's on Sunday 15 August 1982.
The Annual Report opens with the Minister's Foreword by Reverend Tom Corkill in which he mentions the departure of Reverend Goss and the invitation sent to Reverend Don Knight. This is followed by the reports from Parish Council and the Property and Finance Committee in which the sale and removal of Georges Drive Manse and the plans for the building of a new manse are of particular interest. Other reports include that of the Napier West Thrift Shop, 5th Napier Girls' Brigade Company, 1st Napier Boys' Brigade, St Peter's Women's Club - 21st Annual Report, and St Peter's Afternoon Fellowship. Nothing is printed on page four of this document.
b) Napier West Parish Treasurer's Report 1982, by Ewan Gardiner, Honorary Treasurer. Attached to this report is a statement of receipts and payments and other financial records for the year ended 30 June 1982.
c) Annual Report of the Church and Community Committee, St David's Women's Club and St David's Mission Guild for 1981 - 1982.
d) Proposals for Parish Meeting, 31 January 1982. This document concerns the management of the various parish properties and includes a list of recommendations of the Parish Council. These recommendations include the sale and removal of the Georges Drive manse, the repositioning of St David's Hall nearer to the church, the fencing of the front portion of the Georges Drive section, the building of a new manse, the sale of the Barker Road Hall and section and the eventual sale of the Wycliffe Street manse.
