Minutes of the Eighth Annual Meeting of Napier West Parish held in St Peter's Church on Sunday 20 September 1981.
These minutes record the presentations of the annual reports from Parish Council and Session, Property and Finance, Church and Community, Thrift Shop, St David's Association of Presbyterian Women, St Peter's Women's Club, Christian Education, St Peter's Afternoon Fellowship and Girls' Brigade. Other matters discussed include the election of Elders, Parish Council, Parish Council Executive and the Auditor. Those who had died during the year were remembered in a moment of silence and prayer: Miss Jessie McDowell, Mrs Barbara Kingston, Mrs Jean Pointon, Reverend Joseph Sands. The discussion of several matters of general business concluded the meeting.
Following the minutes of the Annual Meeting are the minutes of a meeting conducted by Reverend Bruce Hansen, Interim Moderator. These minutes concern the vacancy arising from the resignation of Reverend Alan Goss and the procedures to be followed in order to fill the vacancy. During this meeting nominations were called for the Board of Nomination and the following parishioners were elected: Mrs S Allen, Mr D Christie, Miss K Jarvis, Mr K Scott, Mr B Rudd, Mrs M Fell, Mrs B Silson and Mr R Easthope.
