About this object
Mid-length studio portrait of Sheila Williams thought to have been taken in 1933. The sitter is dressed in a gown. She wears a string of pearls around her neck. A watercolour has been painted onto the back of the piece of card to which the photograph has been affixed. The painting represents a row of cottages in a bush covered landscape. The following has been handwritten in pencil in the bottom right hand corner of the print: Mokai - SW 77. This indicates that the painting was executed by Sheila Williams in 1977.
