About this object
A group portrait of young women from the sports club Keeble's Bakery Club Swingers. This photograph of the group was the last taken due to the Second World War commencing the following year. The group became the Napier Marching Association following the war. The young women dressed in white uniforms are posed on and about an A-frame ladder. The girls posed at either side of the ladder hold flags with the letter K printed on them. The women are identified on the back of the photograph as follows: Top of the ladder: Betty Keeble. Left side of the ladder: Mazie Biddle, Gwen Webb, May Glifford. Right side of the ladder: Ruby Harris, Valda Yates, Nancy Keeble. Middle of the ladder: Edna Pascoe, Joyce Fulford. Lying underneath the ladder: Nola Stock, Joan Hopkins, Joyce Fairey. Vlayo des Landes is noted as being absent.
