About this object
View of a damaged building at the foot of Shakespeare Road, Napier, taken after the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake. The front façade of the building has partially collapsed, revealing the interior. A dentists chair can be seen in a room on the upper floor of the building. The Athenaeum can be seen along Browning Street on the right side of the photograph.
