View of the Empire Hotel on Shakespeare Road in Napier, taken after the 3 February 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake. The front section of the building collapsed as a result of the earthquake. A low stone wall is visible in the foreground. Shakespeare Road is lined with rubble.
