About this object
View of a house taken after the Hawke's Bay earthquake in 1931. A handwritten note on the back of the photograph states that the house was located on the corner of Lee Road and Peddie Street, Taradale. The address is given as 34 Lee Road. The photograph records the damage caused to the building by the earthquake. The front façade has buckled and there is damage to the tile roof.
