About this object
An exterior group portrait photograph of members of the Waipawa Junior Cadets. The cadets are thought to be from the Waipawa District High School and were part of compulsory military training in schools. The group of young men and boys are posed in front of wooden building wearing their uniforms. Some hold rifles and others band instruments and bugles. The photograph is believed to have been taken prior to 1912.
