About this object
View of Marine Parade taken after the Hawke's Bay earthquake in 1931. In the foreground is the band rotunda donated to the Borough of Napier by Neal and Close in 1894. The structure collapsed as a result of the quake. A row of cars are parked in front of the band rotunda. In the background, the ruins of the Masonic Hotel can be seen.
