About this object
A group portrait photograph of the Surf Team, Te Awa Swimming and Lifesaving Club. The surf team won the Hawke's Bay Lifesaving Championship and London Shield in 1937. The subjects of the photograph are dressed in swimming costumes with their arms folded across their chests. The shield is at the centre foreground of the image. The subjects are identified at the bottom of the card as: Back row: T Cushing; J E Dallimore; T W Ireland; J Rossiter. Front row: D P Hutton; G A Coutts, Captain; R Longney.
