About this object
Bust portrait of a woman, possibly taken in the late nineteenth century. The woman stands in front of a neutral backdrop.

The photograph is housed in an album containing photographs of members of the Langley and Thayer families. She is identified on the album page as Nell Thayer. The name Florry Read, Awatoto, has been handwritten on the back of the photograph. The later is possibly her maiden name.
