Full length studio portrait of a young woman, possibly taken in the late nineteenth century. The sitter stands against a neutral backdrop. Her arms rest on the back of an upholstered chair. She holds a rose in her left hand.

The photograph is housed in an album containing photographs of members of the Langley and Thayer families. The name Aunty Bertha has been handwritten on the album page beneath the photograph. This note possibly refers to Bertha Thayer.
