About this object
Full length studio portrait of a woman and two young children, possibly taken in the 1880s. The woman is seated in front of a plain backdrop. One of the children stands at her feet on the right side of the photograph. The second child is seated on her lap.
The photograph is housed in an album containing photographs of members of the Langley and Thayer families. The names Annie, Gerty and Daisy Pilmore have been handwritten on the back of the carte-de-visite. The sitters are possibly Annie Pilmer (seated), Daisy May Pilmer (seated on Annie's lap), and Gertrude Fanny Pilmer (standing).
Photographer, Samuel Carnell.
