About this object
Participants in the Havelock North Shakespearean Pageant. Four teenage boys dressed in herald and bugler costumes pose on on horseback for the photograph. The building shown is at the northern end of St Luke's Vicarage, in Campbell Street.
The boy on the white horse on the left is identified as Jessie Crosse. The two buglers in the centre are identified as Harold Hyde on the left, and Ferdinand De Lisle.
The pageant was organised by The Havelock Work group, and took place on 20 November 1912. Proceeds were to go towards liquidating debentures on the Village Hall.

The building shown is the northern end of the St Luke's Vicarage, that was sited on Campbell Street, the vicarage paddock was used for the pageant activities and gathering.
