About this object
A photograph of Hastings Street in Napier taken after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on 3 February 1931. The photograph has possibly been taken from Tennyson Street, adjacent to the site of the Masonic Hotel. The ruins of the Criterion Hotel are thought to be visible on the opposite side of the street, at the corner of Hastings and Emerson Streets.
