About this object
An image of the HMS Dunedin coming into berth at the Port of Napier. The photograph appears to have been taken looking at the ship pulling up to Glasgow wharf. The HMS Dunedin was one of two Navy vessels that brought supplies and personnel to Napier on 4 February 1931 at the request of the commander of the HMS Veronica. A smaller lighter vessel is visible in the foreground of the image. Two stevedores are also evident at the right hand side walking along the pier.
