About this object
View of the Hyde's Building on Hastings Street in Napier, possibly taken in 1933. The ground floor of the building is occupied by E Hyde and Son, hairdressers and tobacconists, and Ellerm's Pharmacy, chemist. The first floor is occupied by Rogers, Helleur and Le Pine, barristers. Mr Ernest Hyde stands in the entrance to E Hyde and Son. A Harley-Davidson motorcycle is parked on the street in front of the building. The Post Office is visible on the left side of the photograph. Bennett's building is located on the right side of the photograph. An advertisement for H M Bennett, optician can be seen in the first floor window.
