Full length portrait of a man and a woman, thought to have been taken in the 1860s. The sitters are identified on the back of the carte-de-visite as Mr and Mrs Sampson-Lloyd. Mrs Sampson-Lloyd is seated in a chair reading a letter. Mr Sampson-Lloyd stands to her left. The couple are posed against a painted backdrop.
