An image of the temporary hospital at Napier Racecourse following the Hawke's Bay earthquake of 3 February 1931. Some patients are visible lying in the A-frame tents constructed in rows at the racecourse. Nurses, doctors, orderlies and visitors are visible amongst the patients and tents. Vehicles are visible in front of the tents.
