About this object
Interior view of the temporary premises occupied by the Napier branch of the Lands and Survey Department following the Hawke's Bay earthquake in 1931. The premises were located upstairs in the RSA building on Dickens Street. Members of staff can be seen sitting at their desks around the makeshift office space. The men are identified on the mount as (from left to right): C B Hodge, E Leikis, T Ellis, G Railton, Tyres (seated at back), J Pegrain, J K Woodley.
