About this object
Postcard with a view of the Central Fire Station on Tennyson Street, Napier, taken from Clive Square looking towards the main façade of the building. Designed by the architect J A Louis Hay, the building was completed in 1926. The brick façade was later reconditioned following the Hawke's Bay earthquake in 1931. Houses are visible on the hill behind the building.
