This photo is of my great-great-grandparents, Alfred and Sarah Lambert. They have an amazing history when it comes to their lives as pioneer immigrants. from Ardleigh, Essex, England. Alfred came to NZ in 1853 and Sarah a year later bringing their young son Alfred Ocean Lambert (1st) and Alfred's half-brother Frederick Lambert. I am proud of both of them and so glad they chose New Zealand to settle and raise their family. They worked hard starting from humble beginnings to establish themselves and growing family as well as becoming productive and respected members of the small Porangahau community. Thank you Grandad Alfred and Grandma Sarah Lambert.
