About this object
View of a horse and cart outside the premises of Neal and Close on Hastings Street, Napier. The cart bears the name: Neal & Close. A group of eight men pose for the photograph around the cart. The man second from the right is thought to be Mr James Wark. A sign has been placed in front of the wheels of the cart. It reads: Hawke's Bay's gift to the British Antarctic Expedition. 3000 lbs butter. The cart is loaded with boxes labelled: British Antarctic Expedition 1910 S.S. "Terra Nova" Lyttelton. The Arcade is visible to the right of Neal and Close.
