About this object
A photograph of an injured High School boy taken after the Hawke's Bay earthquake of 3 February 1931. The boy is moving down the street on crutches. His right leg is bandaged and his left leg and the side of his face are discoloured. It is noted on the back of the photograph that the boy was rescued after being trapped for four hours.
