About this object
A photograph of ruined buildings in central Napier taken after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. The photograph was taken from Cathedral Lane. Machinery from the Hawke's Bay Herald offices on Tennyson Street can be seen in the foreground. In the distance, the E & D Building, at the corner of Emerson and Dalton Streets, is visible.
