The photograph has been taken from Hastings Street looking towards the main entrance to the building, possibly in the 1920s. A group of people pose for the photograph in front of the store. They are identified on the back of the mount as (from left to right): Harry Sergent, A Hobson, Selina Tuntle (later Mrs Anderson), Rex, and Sadie McCallem. The premises of the florist Tres Bon is just visible to the left of the chemist.
