Brief Description
Ink and watercolour sketch titled: Wellington Harbour on a rainy day. Small steamer entering during a gale of wind. September 19 1883, 4 pm. It has been signed by the artist W J Webb.

On the back William Webb has written: To the Xmas gathering at Stockingford. You don't feel homesickness so much at a distance of 15000 miles as at 1 mile. I am sorry there is no more but I believe another mail goes in a few days and you will hear by that of my reception at Auckland. He signs himself son, nephew, brother and cousin.
He also asks to give Christmas wishes to certain people.
