About this object
View of the Kidsons Building in Napier being constructed in the wake of the Hawke's Bay earthquake in 1931. The photograph has been taken from the intersection of Dalton Street and Emerson Street. The Dalton Street façade is covered with scaffolding. The Briasco’s Building is visible on the right side of the photograph.

The sign boards read:
