A photograph of the damage to the Nurses' Home on Hospital Hill, Napier, resulting from the Hawke's Bay earthquake of 3 February 1931. Features of the Spanish Mission style building are evident in the rubble piled up behind a small fence. A naval officer is walking past the rubble at the left. On the concrete in the foreground a sign reading Danger is written in white paint.
