About this object
View of the World War I or Great War Memorial Cross located near St John's Anglican Cathedral, Napier. A plaque on the base of the cross reads: In honoured memory of all those from Hawke's Bay who served in the Great War 1914-1918. Their name liveth for evermore.
The Waiapu Diocese is located behind the cross on the right. The building shows signs of damage caused by the Hawke's Bay earthquake in 1931.
