A photograph of the camp at Napier Racecourse that was used to house refugees following the Hawke's Bay earthquake of 3 February 1931. The tents used to house the refugees are visible at the left of the image. At the right a man holding a tennis racket stands on a paved area of ground. In the background the Racing Clubrooms are visible.
