View of Tennyson Street, Napier, taken on 12 September 1932. The photograph has been taken from an elevated position, looking towards Marine Parade. In the left foreground, is the premises of Murray, Roberts and Company Limited, completed in 1932. The two sites to the right to this building, later occupied by the Scinde Building and the Ross & Glendinning Building respectively, are vacant. On the opposite side of Cathedral Lane, the Sainsbury Logan & Williams building is surrounded by scaffolding. The McGlashan’s Building can be seen further along the street.

The Market Reserve Building, completed 1932, is visible on the corner of Hastings Street and Tennyson Street.

The street is occupied by cars and pedestrians.
