Brief Description
New Hymns for Worship is a small booklet of hymns compiled by leaders of St Aidan's Presbyterian Church, Hastings, and St Peter's Presbyterian Church, Napier. While the booklet is undated, the Foreword cites a 1968 publication and states that a new Church Hymnary was to be published in 1971. The Foreword also provides information on the aims, intentions and use of this booklet.
The hymns are arranged in alphabetical order according to the first line and are listed in an index at the back of the booklet. There are 81 hymns in total printed in the booklet but 5 more hymns, numbered 82 - 86, are glued to the inside of the back cover.
Written in black ink on the front cover is the name: Fell. It is likely that this book belonged to Marion Fell.
