Portrait of members of the Fire Brigade service. The seven men are posed in two rows against a painted backdrop. The photograph was possibly taken during a United Fire Brigades' Association Conference in the late nineteenth or early twentieth century.

The man standing second from the left in the back row is thought to be J G Gilberd of Napier.
