About this object
A photograph of Dalton Street in Napier taken during the reconstruction of the city following the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. On the left, the E & D Building stands on the corner of Emerson and Dalton Streets. The Hotel Central is located on the opposite side of the intersection. Further along the street, the Dalgety's Building is visible. Norfolk Pines that line the coastal road can be seen in the distance.
