About this object
A photograph of Napier taken from Bluff Hill during the reconstruction of the city following the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. Newly constructed and repaired buildings are visible. Several damaged buildings and empty sites can also be seen. In the bottom right corner is the area where St John's Cathedral had stood. Across from this, the Hannah's Building remains damaged also.
