About this object
View of swimmers on a beach, possibly taken in the early twentieth century. The photograph is thought to have been taken at Day's Bay, Lower Hutt. At the centre of the photograph three women in swimsuits stand on the beach. Two of the women have their backs to the camera. A young boy is located in the foreground. The boy is likely to be Arthur Chegwidden. The photograph has been taken looking north towards Days Bay Wharf.
