About this object
View of swimmers at Day's Bay, Lower Hutt, possibly taken in the early twentieth century. At the centre of the photograph four women in swimsuits pose for the photograph on the beach. Two young boys stand watching the group. The two boys are likely to be Bill and Arthur Chegwidden. The photograph has been taken looking inland. Behind the two boys is a timber structure with a corrugated iron roof and four wheels. The name W.S.F. Co appears on the side of the structure.
