About this object
An image of a large boulder at the base of Bluff Hill, Napier, which came down as a result of the Hawke's Bay earthquake of 3 February 1931. The broken and damaged roof of a building is visible in the left of the image. A man stands next to the boulder, illustrating the enormity of the lime rock. The ground is covered with piles of small rock slip.
