View of the intersection of Riddiford Street and Rintoul Street, Wellington, looking south. The two streets are lined with commercial premises, including a cycle works and repair shop. Tram lines are visible down the two roads. An electric tram can be seen along Rintoul Street. A dog crosses the road in the foreground.

The photograph has been taken prior to the construction of the Ashleigh Court Private Hotel on the corner of Riddiford and Rintoul Street, which was built around 1906.
