The plans show the locations and cross sections of boring work done in the Napier Inner Harbour by Napier Bell and George Nelson. The text gives a list of deficiencies of each plan.
On reverse is a brief entitled: The Harbour Poll, which gives three views of the situation in regard to George Nelson's plan for dredging the entrance to Napier Inner Harbour and states that crucial information has been omitted and that the plan is not feasible.
