A photograph depicting the damage to some buildings along Marine Parade in Wairoa resulting from the Hawke's Bay earthquake of 3 February 1931. Crumpled roofs, masonry and debris litter the street. There are three people visible at the right hand edge of the image that appear to be clearing debris and salvaging items.
