About this object
A photograph of Hastings Street in Napier taken during the reconstruction of the city after the Hawke's Bay earthquake on the 3rd of February 1931. In the mid ground is the Criterion Hotel. Located on the corner of Hastings and Emerson Streets, this building was completed in 1932. The steel structure at the left is the ANZ Building, also completed in 1932. Napier Hill is visible in the distance.
