About this object
A photograph depicting the damage to the Wairoa River Bridge caused by the Hawke's Bay earthquake of 3 February 1931. The photograph has been taken from across the bridge looking toward the town. Pedestrians are visible on the opposite side of the river. The premises of a garage can be seen directly in line with the photographer on the opposite side of the bridge.
